Looking For The Insanity Workout Diet Plan? We’ve Got It!
We get so much traffic to our Insanity Workout reviews (click here [ https://www.workoutequipmentreviews.net/insanity-workout-review/ ] for mine and here for my wife’s) that we inevitably get a fair number of emails asking, “Is there a diet for the Insanity Workout?” or “What is the diet for Insanity Workout?” Well, it depends on what you mean by “diet”. The Insanity Workout Diet Plan is not a “diet” in the sense that you usually think of when you want to lose weight. Usually, when a person decides they want to lose weight, the first line of defense is the “diet”, which is all about consuming less calories. The Insanity Workout Diet is a diet in the more general sense of the term: it’s what you need to fuel your body while you complete the program. Is it tough? Absolutely not.
What Is The Insanity Workout Diet?
If you’ve read my article on the lengths of the Insanity Workouts, you know that Shaun T, the Insane genius behind the system, works you hard! Simply put, the average body on the average diet is not going to be able to do it without the right fuel. Enter the Insanity Workout Diet Plan.
Take a look at the downloadable Insanity Workout Diet Guide linked above. As you’ll see, there are 5 lists of 10 meals each. Every day, you’ll be picking a meal per list. Yes, you read that right, you will be eating five meals a day! So, if you were worried about having to starve yourself to lose weight with Insanity, worry no longer.
Each meal is about 300 calories each, though you have the option of scaling up with “food blocks”. In the second month, when things ramp up even more and your body needs even more fuel, the plan adds a list of complex carbohydrates that you can also use to supplement your diet.
While you’re actively doing Insanity, if you follow the meal plan you’ll be eating about 1,500 – 2,500 calories a day. If you’re worried that this seems like a lot, check out How Many Calories Does Insanity Burn?
The meals are fairly simple to prepare, and cover a lot of ground, so you’ll likely already see some of your favorite foods on there. There are simple items like burgers and sandwiches, and some really great smoothies. Oh, there’s this egg white and fruit plate that I didn’t think sounded appetizing, but my wife whipped it up one day and made me a true believer

Does Insanity Workout Work Without Diet?
You can definitely Insanity Workout Program without dieting provided you already eat relatively healthily. While I did use and enjoy a lot the recipes, I mostly used the Insanity Workout Diet Plan as a guide.
I’m not saying you need to cut all the junk food out of your life, but there are some simple little things you can do that will make your diet so much healthier. In the guide, you’ll find tips like sticking to foods with a low glycemic index, since they have less impact on the blood sugar; you won’t have a rapid rise and drop in blood sugar and subsequent drain in energy.
The Insanity Workout Diet Plan also includes Michi’s Ladder, which, even if you’re not doing the meal-by-meal plan is still an excellent resource for scheduling your meals. It’s basically just a hierarchy of your healthy foods, down to your unhealthy foods. Guess which end you’re supposed to stay on.
Two of my own personal tips for eating better are to cook your own food as much as possible, and don’t drink so many damn soft drinks. For an almost obscene number of Americans, soft drinks are their primary source of calories. And since it’s calories from (lots and lots of) sugar, we come back to that blood sugar issue.
It’s really almost common sense: eating healthy will make you healthy, while the opposite is also true. If you’re eating well, you will absolutely see positive Insanity Workout results without diet.
